Tail press is a feature slide with pressure shifted to the back foot so the nose gets light while the tail stays locked in.
Enter flat and centered, then move hips over the rear binding. Keep knees soft, handle low, and shoulders quiet so the board does not wash out.
Progression note: use wide, forgiving features first. Come back to neutral before the exit if the landing line is not clean.
